LOVE is in The Air at the Nicotra’s 11th Annual Employee Barbeque.

Hoteliers and Real Estate Developers Lois and Richard Nicotra host 11th Annual Employee Appreciation BBQ

August 1, 2019– The 11th Annual Employee
Appreciation Barbeque will
be overflowing with Love. Cotton candy
isn’t the only sweet notion when Lois and
Richard Nicotra, owners of the Hilton Garden
Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, and The
Nicotra Group, located in Bloomfield,
host nearly 500 employees and their families
at the 11th Annual Employee Appreciation
Barbecue on Thursday, August 15th.
Guests enjoy complimentary food, games,
inflatable rides, family-focused contests,
and prizes – but the real treat for Lois and
Richard Nicotra is watching their employees
enjoy the evening with their families.

Richard shared, “Each day, our team
works to provide tenants, clients, and
guests with exceptional hospitality and
service. Lois and I are grateful for our employees’
efforts – they are truly our company’s
most valuable asset.” Lois added,
“Giving our team a fun, festive and free
night to enjoy with their loved ones is a
gift we look forward to sharing each year.
We start planning the next BBQ as soon
as one ends – it’s a highlight event for us.”

Nicotra recalled, “When I was a boy, I remember
my neighbor going to his father’s
company’s picnic. I wished my father’s
job had done something like that for us.
The memory of an employer doing that
for employees stayed with me. Now, all
these years later, I get to provide to my
team’s children what I wished for as a kid.
We love watching our work family create
memories. Honestly, this gift to them is a
gift I give myself every year.”

The Nicotras celebrate with their employees
throughout the year, hosting an
annual holiday party for their employees’
families as well as bi-annual luncheons
to recognize employees’ anniversaries.
Their Lois & Richard Nicotra Foundation awards scholarships towards
college education to the children
and grandchildren of their
employees and supports nonprofit
organizations on Staten
Island through the profits of the
COMMONS café; more than 390
Staten Island based non-profit
organizations and scholarship
recipients have been awarded
through the Nicotra Foundation.

The Nicotras are Staten Island’s
largest private real estate
developers with nearly one million
square feet of office and
hospitality space in their Corporate
Park of Staten Island,
including ten office buildings,
the Hilton Garden Inn and the
Hampton Inn & Suites, Nicotra’s
Ballroom, Lorenzo’s Restaurant
Bar & Cabaret, and Above.
The Nicotras recently held a
topping off ceremony for their
eleventh office building, Corporate
Commons Three, a 330,000
square foot 8 story Class A office
building featuring a socially
responsible restaurant; Pienza,
Pizza & Pasta, a vineyard and a
40,000 square foot organic Rooftop
farm. The Nicotras are also
doubling the size of their Hampton
Inn & Suites, adding 100 new
rooms and suites.
